CHINCHILLA RED - ORIGINS PIECE.

Limited to just 10 pieces.

A solid 925 sterling silver signet set with Chinchilla Red Petrified Wood, an exceptionally rare fossil timber sourced from the Chinchilla region of Queensland, Australia.

Formed over 150 million years ago, this ancient wood was slowly transformed into stone as mineral-rich water replaced the timber cell by cell, preserving its natural grain forever. Rich iron minerals give each specimen its unmistakable red, amber and burnt ochre tones, making every cut completely one of a kind.

This special release features a kangaroo on the reverse with the LA hallmark in wavey font — a tribute to one of Australia's oldest landscapes and the fossil timber hidden beneath it.

Due to the limited availability of high-quality Chinchilla Red material, only ten rings will ever be produced. Once sold out, this edition will never be remade.

Cast in solid 925 sterling silver with a heavy polish and oxidised finish.

Each stone is unique and every piece different. Please appreciate that no two rings will ever look the same. The ring you receive will feature its own natural grain, colour and fossil pattern, making it entirely yours.

Earlier this year, while sourcing stones across Australia, we were introduced to an old collector in rural Queensland.

For over sixty years he's spent his life searching creek beds, old dig sites and forgotten outcrops, collecting and polishing Australia's hidden minerals by hand.

His workshop isn't a business built for tourists or online sales—it's simply the result of a lifetime spent chasing beautiful stone.

Among shelves filled with specimens sat two pieces he'd never let go of.

Blocks of petrified wood from Chinchilla and Wandoan, quietly tucked away as part of his own personal collection.

After countless cups of tea and stories from decades in the field, he finally agreed to let us take them home.

The rings you're about to see were cut from those very specimensm through a cryptic craigslist ad.

Two Pieces. Two Stories.

Although both began life as ancient trees over 150 million years ago, time shaped them very differently.

One burns with rich iron reds.

The other preserves the quiet warmth of aged timber.

Only ten rings will be made from each stone.

Deep crimson, burnt orange and rich ochre run through preserved wood grain, each line recording the growth of a tree that stood long before humans ever walked Australia.

Its colour comes from iron-rich minerals that slowly replaced the timber over millions of years, creating one of the country's most striking examples of petrified wood.

Soft honey browns, charcoal greys and warm tobacco tones flow naturally through perfectly preserved grain, creating a quieter, more understated piece.

It's the kind of stone that becomes more interesting the longer you look at it.

10 Chinchilla Red and 10 Wandoan

Each stone is individually cut, shaped and set by hand.

No CNC machining.

No mass production.

No two rings will ever be identical.

Tiny variations, natural grain, small imperfections and individual patterns.
